Two weeks ago, I suddenly got homesick. Luckily, it only lasted for about three days. It was really weird, because I hadn't felt like this for over more than a year. Job not being at home for three days didn't really help ;), so I gave in to look at the website of the Book People and order some books for the boys.
The one the boys like the most is Steve Backshall's Deadly 60. He's on TV with his Deadly 60 program on CBBC and if you can watch the BBC 2 channel (for the Dutchies :) see here), you should be able to watch it too.
I also bought Weird Ocean, which the boys like very much too; a lot of fun information and pop-ups.
And buying this pack of spotter's cards: 100 Rocks And Minerals To Spot I was actually thinking of Owen, Ils, wondering if it might be interesting for my boys too. They haven't picked it up yet, but that's fine, of course.
Then about the nostalgia....A couple of months ago, a friend sent me two DVD's from the series 'Familie Robinson', my favourite series when I was a child. I just wanted to be Sanne, living on a Island, playing with the animals and having adventures. Here's the trailer (in Dutch):
Last month, I found out that they were also selling the rest of the series! My BIL (brother in law) was so good to send it to us. I really enjoy watching it again and the boys love it!! For the Dutchies: you can buy them here, at the Gospelshop. And after this series....Maybe Nathalie, or Jody en het hertejong?
