Prickly Ball Farm

Today we were at Prickly Ball Farm in Newton Abbot. I didn't really know what to expect, but it was great, for all four of us. Adam enjoyed (very, very much) cuddling the animals, Boaz enjoyed running around, the go karts and the playground, and Levi was happy that he could escape to my arms sometimes, to get away from the "scary" animals. Plus: we had a good time with friends.
The farm has a program for the whole day. You can choose what you want to do: feed the chipmunks, feed the pigs, feed the lambs, cuddle the furry animals (even the bigger boys loved cuddling them, see the pictures), groom a pony, walk a ferret, collect an egg & feed the chickens or walk a goat.

And there was a lady telling and showing us (about) the hedgehogs they have. Adam asked several questions and was able to answer several questions she asked the group. I'm so proud of him that he 'just' does that, in English.

Maybe if you look at the site, or even at the pictures, it might seem something for smaller kids, but there was something special about it. Again, a lovely place and very friendly people...

Just the views!!

Little hedgehogs...

Expectations...;)

They had a hedgehog cemetery.....

Boaz' special fight techniques...

                                                                           Pond works...

The bigger (14, 11, 9, 8) boys were the ones that didn't really want to leave today. Every time they ran back to the farm to hold their favourite chicken again, and quickly stroke the goats one last time.

Wow dat ziet er heel gezellig uit! Ik moest erg lachen om Boaz op de kart en op de toren. Hij lijkt erg in zijn element :-)
